He tours Burg Eltz, a lived-in castle where the noble lady still puts out fresh flowers. In medieval Rothenburg he joins the night watchman for a tour of the town's lamp-lit ramparts.
Munich and the Foothills of the Alps: In Munich, Rick visits boisterous markets and go-for-Baroque palaces. Heading toward the Alps, he tours the fairy-tale castles of "Mad" King Ludwig and climbs to the highest point in Germany. Then he crosses into the Tirol to conquer a desolate ruined castle.
