Iran Folding Map (ITMB)
ITMB International Travel Maps's 3rd edition of their Iran Travel Reference Map is extensively revised. Iran is a very large and increasingly developed country. It is obviously a focal point politically and will be increasingly significant as events unfold in the region. It is also a wonderful country, with warm, good-hearted people and, in spite of political rhetoric, welcoming visitors. After two editions portraying Iran as a single-sided map, ITMB has re-digitized it into a double-sided map at a much better scale, updated as much information as they could (particularly roads), and added hundreds of villages. This edition has at least 25% more information on it, and the road and rain lines are as up to date as can be determined.
The map legend includes: all roads with point-to-point distances in kilometers, international and provincial boundaries, railways, elevation information, monuments, points of interest, hydrography, geographic translations, and metric conversions. The map also features color photographs, small paragraphs of travel information at key points of interest, a place names index, and an inset map of central Tehran.
