With Topo USA and the available datasets, you can scout the terrain as if you were there. See the shape of the land for any location, with highly-defined shaded relief and realistic 3-D (with rotation and “flyovers”). Determine land cover and land use. Find BLM and other public lands for recreation, plus Game Management Districts. Automatically create routes over roads and trails (a DeLorme exclusive) ¯ no tracing required. Import geocache .gpx and .loc files as waypoints; full descriptions and hints now come through intact, without character limits, when importing .gpx files; with .loc files, the full descriptions and hints can be cut and pasted into the waypoints Comment field. When you’re ready to go, print detailed, customized maps and effortlessly send GPS waypoints, tracks, and routes to your handheld receiver. After you return, import any collected waypoints and tracks with comments, and convert imported tracks into routable roads or trails. GeoTag the precise locations where you took your digital photos. You can even display tracks and graph athletic data from GPS wrist computers – heart rate, speed, and cadence, elevation, and distance – against an elevation profile.
