About the Author

In 30 years as a writer, Leo W. Banks has published stories in the Los Angeles Times Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, the Wall Street Journal, Sports Illustrated, Boston Globe, and Arizona Highways, for which he has written 320 stories, as well as five books. The books include: Double Cross: Treachery in the Apache Wars; Rattlesnake Blues: Dispatches From a Snakebit Territory; Manhunts and Massacres; Stalwart Women: Frontier Stories of Indomitable Spirit; and Never Stand Between a Cowboy and His Spittoon. He also co-wrote Travel Arizona II: A Guide to the Best Tours and Sites and Grand Canyon Stories: Then and Now. He lives in Tucson.
