Santa Fe National Forest Map - Paper
The Santa Fe National Forest is one of the five National Forests in New Mexico. The National Forests are America's great outdoors, here to serve the American people at work and play. Some of the finest mountain scenery in the Southwest is found in the 1.6 million acres covered by the Santa Fe National Forest. Elevations rise from 5,300 to 13,103 feet at the summit of Truchas Peak, located within the Pecos Wilderness. The National Forest Service's objective is to maintain that natural beauty.
The map also features descriptions and images of Santa Fe National Forest; Santa Fe, the City Different; National Monuments, National Historic Parks, and National Preserves; road closures; travel management; Tread Lightly! rules; winter sports; cultural resources; hunting and fishing; campfires; wildernesses; safety; and Leave No Trace ethics.
Also included are a complete map legend, travel area legend, indexes to USGS 7.5' topographic maps, recreation site indexes, and contact information for National Forest offices.
