INFO ABOUT WIDE WORLD MAPS & MORE! Mini-Store – after closing our Scottsdale location we get a steady flow of requests for a store location in the north valley to better serve customers in north and northeast Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Peoria, Anthem, Cave Creek, and Carefree.   The mini-store concept and relationship with the folks at Lookout Mountain Outdoors makes this possible.

Mini-Store F.A.Q.

  • What kind of inventory will I find at the Mini-Store?
  • Will I be able to special order items at the mini-store and/or have items transferred for pick-up at the Mini-Store?
  • Will I be able to place a phone order or website order and make arrangements to pick it up at the Mini-Store?
  • What about d'SHOP work and custom mapping work, can those be picked up at the Mini-Store too?

    What kind of inventory will I find at the Mini-Store?

    Because the Mini-Store is located inside the outdoor outfitters store, we have stocked it with the most popular outdoor items you will find in our other stores. This includes an assortment of hunting maps, forest maps, Fish-N-Maps for the popular Arizona lakes, Benchmark Road and Recreation Atlases, specialty hiking and trail maps, Gun Owners Guides, plus an assortment of related books and accessories. We also recognized the need of business customers in the area so we also stock our Yellow1 Street Atlases for Metropolitan Phoenix, Pinal County, Tucson, Yavapai and Coconino Counties, and Las Vegas. We even added a sampling of metro area and state wall maps, globes, magnifiers, compasses, and National Geographic Map software. We are prepared to change and add to the selection as we will listen to what customers want to see at this location.

    Will I be able to special order items at the mini-store and/or have items transferred for pick-up at the Mini-Store?

    YES, we are planning to visit this location at least twice a week to restock and deliver items for customers from our warehouse and other store locations. Joe and Wally don't know everything about our products and services yet, but they are fast learners and will do whatever they can to help customers. Items that are transferred for pick up will need to be pre-paid (either at the mini-store or at our other store locations) in order to eliminate confusion and errors.

    Will I be able to place a phone order or website order and make arrangements to pick it up at the Mini-Store?

    YES, you will be able to call our main customer service number 800-279-7654 to place an order of any kind and make arrangements to have it sent to the north Phoenix Mini-Store location for pick up if that is going to be more convenient for you. As long as we can schedule the delivery so we don't make special trips, we are glad to provide this extra level of service at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for shipping. Web orders to our www.maps4u.com website can also apply to this special service but will require you to make a special note in the comments section of the order or better yet make a follow up call to Andrea or Mike at 800-279-7654 to let them know.

    What about d'SHOP work and custom mapping work, can those be picked up at the Mini-Store too?

    Generally the answer is YES, but within the limitations of size and volume of our vehicles and space needed to store large items for pick up. It will be best to make prior arrangements with d'SHOP and our custom mapping and publications departments and additional charges may apply.
