This historical map of the northeastern United States of America shows the locations and travels of founding father George Washington in cooperation with the United States Commission for the Celebration of the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Birth of George Washington. At a scale of one to two million, five hundered thousand, the map features places existing in GW's time, places visited by GW, and places built or renamed since GW's time. Routes GW traveled are marked with one or more of Surveying and French-Indian Campaign, Travels to West, Revolutionary War, and Travels after the War. Special inset maps show the same details for New York and the Lower Hudson, Mount Vernon, Tidewater Virginia, Boston and Vicinity, and Philadelphia and Vicinity.
