National Geographic?s Holy Land Wall Map Gloss Ready-to-Hang provides a fascinating in-depth look at the faiths, peoples, and politics that have shaped this historic region. This detailed political map is overlaid with facts about significant religious sites. Information on Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as historical periods from the Stone and Bronze ages to the Islamic period through 1917, makes this as much an educational tool as an attractive work of cartographic art. Cities, bodies of water, geographical features, ruins, Israeli settlements, and more are noted, as are transportation infrastructure such as highways, roads, railroads, canals, and airports. Coverage includes Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Israel.
Gloss Lamination features premium optically clear film, which provides a high shine for dramatic color presentation. The gloss laminated map is a convenient and useful at-a-glance reference ready for wet-erase or alcohol-erase markers, sticker dots or arrows, or graphic tape.
Premium Mounts are mounted on foamcore, with edge taping. Foamcore is a board of polystyrene foam clad with an outer facing of white clay-coated paper on either side. It is the preferred medium for using map tacks and map pins. Each premium mounted item comes with edge taping, hanging tabs, wall hangers, and nails for wall presentation.
