Description
"Second Lieutenant Wilkinson first arrived in Korea in 1958. He was already anxious to put in his two years and get back out. But the life to which he returns has changed. His girl seems different. His college friends are already working, getting married, and raising families. His problem is seeking honor with everyone from the President of the U.S. down to a stripper in an East Baltimore Street night club. When other people threaten his honor, he knows that growing a beard and wearing sandals won't protect him from the facts he has to deal with. He rebels as he works to find a path between abject conformity and abject alienation."
