Shakespeare's Britain (Wall Map) Matte Ready-to-Hang
Shakespeare's Britain [Tubed] (National Geographic Reference Map) is a wonderful and whimsical map of Shakespeare’s Britain, based on John Speed’s map "The Kingdome of Great Britaine" from his 1611 atlas "Theatre of the Empire of Great Britaine." Originally published in 1964, this delightfully illustrated map shows the settings of plays and various points of interest throughout England, Wales, and Scotland. The 1964 Shakespeare's Britain map features:
- Insets of Stratford-upon-Avon and London.
- Shakespeare's plays with British settings.
- Towns, abbeys and churches, castles, battlefields, and forests and heath.
- Settings of plays noted.
- Coverage Area: England, Wales, and Scotland.
- One-sided, paper/non-laminated wall map.
- Package Quantity: 1
- Excellent Quality.
- Great Gift Idea.
- Satisfaction Ensured.
- Produced with the highest grade materials
The map is encapsulated in heavy-duty 1.6 mil laminate which makes the paper much more durable and resistant to the swelling and shrinking caused by changes in humidity. Laminated maps can be framed without the need for glass, so the frames can be much lighter and less expensive. Matte Laminate is a more professional and elegant finish. The velvety texture of the finish makes for a pleasant tactile experience. The matte soft finish is less reflective than gloss, giving a more natural look. The reduced shine absorbs more small scratches and scuffs without looking "beat up".
Ready-to-Hang maps have rails at the top and the bottom to keep the map flat against the wall with two loops on the top rail for easy hanging. A package of wall hooks and nails completes the set.
